Since starting weight gaining ,symptoms starting affecting my body and I was freaking out. My wrists and ankles hurt and swelled up badly. Mom was worried and made an appointment to see Dr Wong. Mommy went with me to see Dr. Wong . Dr Wong ran some tests and it resulted that I was diagnosed with Gout.
Gout is inflammatory arthritis high level of uric acid in my blood that form hard crystals in my joints. The doc told me that is not harmful but must avoid soybeans, red whine, and mushrooms. She wrote me a recommendation to see a dietician.
What caused my gout? Of course my weight gaining. I consumed too much meat and fish so I must changed my entire diet. The doctor told my mom not to worry as long as I follow my dietician's instructions then I'll be okay. My dietician doctor, Dr Cheung, a sweet heart. She is lot nicer person than Dr. Wong. She doesn't complain much about my weight. She understands what I am going through and is willingly to work with me through out the weight loss mgmt plan. She introduced some friendly exercises that wouldn't accentuate the pain from occurring whenever it wants too. Told my mom that the feeling of pain is a bitch. Hello! I am going through menstrual cycle every month, pain enough there. She just laughed out loud.
So this summer some friendly exercises can help my weight loss.
Of course not drinking alcohol but it's a cute picture. I was focusing on the bike. Biking helps less pressures on my joints.
Pilates was Dr. Cheung first suggestions. Not only it's not stressful but helps manage weight loss without stress. I can loosen up my bones and be super flexible. Since this summer , Kristin found me a 6 1/2 hours of a temp summer job until I find something else better, I will join a Pilate beginner class this summer.

Swimming was the second suggestions. Swimming allows my body to relax and flow on top. Not only will it not add pressure and stress , it's an excellent exercise to get the entire body for a fluently workout. Dr. Wong totally disagree with this exercise. She believes if I stop swimming then I go back fat again. After going back into shape this summer I will join the freelance swimming pool.

Yoga was her 3rd suggestion. Yoga helps to love and accept who I am ( includes my body). Helps relaxes my muscles and tone my body. I don't think I am ready for a beginner yoga level. I rather stick to Pilates.

Overall, one step at a time. Because I am going to use some much money this summer I must find myself a Saturday job. I can't wait to start and it will be my first stepping stone to changing my life. I know I will succeed , as long as I work hard in them and will continuing maintaining it. A fact that my mom told me since the day I was born till now, my body can easily absorb fat so gaining weight is a no sweat process. It runs in my mom's side of the family.
